The 2011 Journey

This year, we blogged Skipper Otto’s trip up the BC coast from False Creek Fisherman’s Wharf near Granville Island to the Nass River fishing grounds near the Alaska Border. He left on Monday, June 20th, 2011.

Click on any of the markers in the map below to read our blog posts and see video from our 2011 trip up to Prince Rupert and beyond. There are also a ton of pictures from the trip available here.

  1. You guys seem to be making great time!

  2. We’re averaging about 9 knots (nautical miles and hour), although when we get a good tide pulling us we can get as much as 13 knots. No reason to rush up the coast, and it saves fuel. (And that fuel is quite expensive… took us $1000 or so to get this far. (Prince Rupert).
